EETDE 141 - Telecommunications Theory *

Students will be introduced to the principles of wired and wireless voice/data communication systems. They will study and analyze how the systems are installed, operated and maintained, and the regulations governing their operation. Students will learn the methods, materials, and tools used to install, terminate and repair copper, coaxial, and fiber optic communications cables. In addition, students will gain an understanding of various analog and digital communication protocols and their use in industry.
