YTI Career Institute - York offers a diploma program in Plumbing. This program will cover the installation, service, and maintenance of common plumbing fixtures found in residential and commercial buildings. Students will also gain an in-depth understanding of freshwater treatment, wells, well pumps, sewer systems, drainage systems, and venting. Additionally, they will learn about safe material handling, pumps, and electrical grounding. The program will provide students with knowledge of various piping materials and their applications in accordance with the International Plumbing Code, International Building Code, and relevant National Fire Protection Association codes.

Total Quarter Credits: 73
Length of Program: Ten (12) months, consisting of five (5) ten-week quarters. The Plumbing program is offered in a blended (both didactic instructions online and lab simulations occurring oncampus) and residential delivery format (all didactic instruction and labs on campus). Online instruction is primarily asynchronous, with assignments and homework accessible 24 hours a day/seven days per week through the Learning Management System (LMS). Students will need to reserve approximately 24 hours per week for educational activities and study. Labs are scheduled 2-3 times per week. Students will need to reserve approximately 25-30 hours per week for educational activities and study. Students taking evening labs in the blended program need to plan on 1-2 lab sessions per week. Each term of courses is independent of each other, and therefore the order in which they are offered to students may vary. Maximum class section size in this program is fifty (50) students in an online class and maximum in lab is twenty-five.
