As part of a student’s program, the Institute is responsible for assisting each graduate in obtaining employment aligned with the training they have received. This includes training in the task of job search as well as personal preparedness and securing interviews.
The Career Services department offers a variety of Professional Development seminars throughout the student’s enrollment designed to enhance the student’s preparedness for the work world. All students are expected to attend and participate in these seminars as assigned. Failure to complete and submit Career Services assignments is a violation of the professionalism expectations the Institute holds for students and can lead to disciplinary actions including warning, probation, suspension and dismissal.
Accreditation standards do not permit any school to guarantee employment to its graduates.
Records are maintained for each graduate who secures employment. The Institute records the employer with whom the graduate is placed, the nature of the position, the start date of employment, and, when available, the starting salary.
If a graduate seeks additional education, joins one of the Services, or for any reason is not available for prompt placement, these facts are also recorded in the Institute’s placement file. The Institute’s staff provides ongoing support and maintains regular contact with each graduate until employment is secured, or it has been determined that the graduate does not wish assistance any longer.
Graduates of all programs should be aware that they may be subject to a background check and those with a felony conviction may experience difficulty in obtaining employment.
