ETDE 1010 - Motor Calculations and Generator Theory Quarter Credit Hour(s): 3.5
Prerequisite(s): None
Covers types of electric motors, and the theory behind motor operations. Topics include; Single-Phase Motors, Polyphase Motors, and Calculations for single and multi-motor circuits to enable the student to size conductors, over-current protection, and overload protection for motor applications. Standby and Emergency Systems require alternate power sources, like generators. Topics will include an introduction to Generators, and the installation requirements for electric generators and transfer switches.
